The Following Procedures are listed in detail below:

Download the new label format file:  FORMAT6M.FMT [right click, save target as]

 

HemaTrax 5.1B Standalone – Replicate Unit ID Set Only  >> printable version <<

  1. In the windows Program Files directory, locate the Digi-Trax Corporation sub-directory and double-click on it. 
  2. If no other HemaTrax program is installed, only the HemaTrax Standalone program folder will be listed. Figure below shows multiple HemaTrax applications including the HemaTrax Standalone program.

  1. Double-click on the HemaTrax Standalone folder. Figure below shows sub-folders and files associated with the HemaTrax Standalone program.

 

  1. Locate the Format folder and double-click on it. If no replicant Unit ID Set format has been added previously, only one format will be available as shown below.

  1. Now save the copy of the FORMAT6M.FMT into the
    C:\Program Files\Digi-Trax Corporation\HemaTrax Standalone\Format folder.
  2. Run HemaTrax Standalone program.
  3. Click on Setup menu then select and click on the Replicant Unit Id Format item from the drop-down selections.
  4. In the Replicant Unit Id Format window, select the FORMAT6M item from the combo box selections then click on the OK button. Note that only two selections will be available from the combo box: FORMAT and FORMAT6M.
  5. For Sato CL-412 series printer, adjust the horizontal offset position in the Adjust Position window from the Replicate Unit Id Set window to 3 (in mm). For Zebra Z4M series printer, adjust the horizontal offset position and vertical offset position in the Adjust Position window from the Replicate Unit Id Set window to 1.5 and -1 (in mm) respectively. Print and verify barcode and text positions in the labels -- adjust value if necessary.

HemaTrax Unit ID Sets – Print Sequential Unit ID Set Numbers and Replicate

  1. Locate the Format folder and double-click on it. If no replicant Unit ID Set format has been added previously, only one format will be available as shown below.

 

  1. Now save the copy of the FORMAT6M.FMT into the
    C:\Program Files\Digi-Trax Corporation\HemaTrax Unit ID Set\Format folder.
  2. Run HemaTrax Unit ID Set program.
  3. From the HemaTrax ISBT-128 Unit ID main window, click on Setup menu then select and click on the Replicant Unit Id Format item from the drop-down selections.
  4. In the Replicant Unit Id Format window, select the FORMAT6M item from the combo box selections then click on the OK button. Note that only two selections will be available from the combo box: FORMAT and FORMAT6M.
  5. Click on Maintenance from the main menu window and select then click on the Unit Id Sets item from the drop-down selection.
  6. In the Unit Id Sets window, enter a new name in the Unit Title combo box. Now select the label format name FORMAT6M item from the Label Format Name combo box selections. Supply all other necessary Unit ID Sets information for this new label set then click on the Add button to save. Close the Unit ID Sets window.

 Note: To continue using the existing Unit Id Sets that uses the old Unit ID Set label layout (FORMAT), create a new Unit ID Set label set that will now use the new FORMAT6M format for the new Unit ID Set label layout.

  1. From the HemaTrax ISBT-128 Unit ID main window, click on the Print Labels then select and click on the Unit Id Sets item from the drop-down selections.
  2. In the Unit Id Sets window, select the just created new label set in the Unit Title combo box.
  3. For Sato CL-412 series printer, adjust the horizontal offset position in the Adjust Position window from the Replicate Unit Id Set window to 3 (in mm). For Zebra Z4M series printer, adjust the horizontal offset position and vertical offset position in the Adjust Position window from the Replicate Unit Id Set window to 1.5 and -1 (in mm) respectively. Print and verify barcode and text positions in the labels -- adjust value if necessary.

Note: When replicating Unit ID Sets number, make sure you also adjust the Horizontal Offset  in mm to 3 in the Adjust Position window from the Replicant Unit Id Set window.

HemaTrax Print Server versions 1.7 and 1.71 only – Print Unit ID Sets  >> printable version <<

 

  1. In the Server machine where HemaTrax Print Server program is currently installed, locate the Digi-Trax Corporation sub-directory in the Program Files directory and double-click on it. 
  2. If no other HemaTrax program is installed, only the HemaTrax Print Server program folder will be listed. Figure below shows multiple HemaTrax applications including the HemaTrax Print Server program.


 

  1. Double-click on the HemaTrax Print Server folder. Figure below shows sub-folders and files associated with the HemaTrax Print Server program.

 


 

  1. Locate the Format folder and double-click on it. If no replicant Unit ID Set format has been added previously, only one format will be available as shown below.

 

  1. Now save the copy of the “FORMAT6M.FMT” into the
    C:\Program Files\Digi-Trax Corporation\HemaTrax Print Server\FORMAT folder.
  2. Run and start the HemaTrax Print Server program if it has been closed.
  3. From the already running HemaTrax Print Server program, click on the “Printer Settings” tab. If multiple serial ports are available from this Server machine then HemaTrax Print Server will display them in multiple columns as shown below.

 

  1. If no serial port is already assigned from any of the “Printer Settings” columns to print Unit ID Sets labels then select one by clicking on any of the cells or rows in the just selected column and begin assigning all applicable serial port settings as well as label assignment and correct printer model to use to print Unit ID Sets labels. Skip this step otherwise.

Note:  The serial port selected for this particular label printing is displayed in the “Selected Comx Port” display panel.

  1. If, however, there is already a serial assigned to print Unit ID Sets labels then select this column by clicking on any of its cells or rows and change the content of the “X-Offset” entry edit box to 3 if using the Sato CL-412 series printer. If, however, the target printer is the Zebra Z4M series printer then adjust the horizontal and vertical positions by changing the contents of the “X-Offset” and “Y-Offset” entry edit boxes to 1.5 and –1 respectively. Make sure all other entries specific to printing “Unit ID Sets” labels are properly set then click on the “Save” button to accept the change and minimize the HemaTrax Print Server window.
  2. To test print using the included HemaTrax HTClient test program installed in the same Program Files directory as the HemaTrax Print Server, run this program by double-clicking its program icon. From the currently displayed HTClient test program window, click on the “Select” menu then select and click on the “Data Access Suite” item from the pull-down selections. Establish the client-to-server connection with the HemaTrax Print Server program by specifying the proper server machine’s IP address and listening port number in the “Data Access Suite” window and click on the “Open” button located below the “Server Connection Information” panel. Close this currently opened window by clicking on the window close button x.

Note: Do not click on the “Close” button in the “Data Access Suite” window after the client-to-server connection is established. This will disconnect the client-to-server connection.

  1. Click on the “Select” menu then select and click on the “Label Printing Suite” item from the pull-down selection. In the now opened “Label Printing Suite” window, select the “Unit Id / Facility” tab page. In the “Unit ID Format” entry edit box, change its current content to FORMAT6M or enter this text if the “Unit ID Format” entry edit box is currently empty.
  2. In the “Unit Number” entry edit box, enter an ISBT-128 unit number.
  3. From the “COM Port” combo box pull-down selections, select the assigned serial port previously set in the HemaTrax Print Server program to print Unit ID Sets labels.
  4. Now select the “Unit ID Set” button from the group of “Print Label” buttons and click on it to begin printing Unit ID Sets label.
  5. Verify barcode and text positions in the labels -- adjust X-Offset or Y-Offset value if necessary from the HemaTrax Print Server program.
  6. Test printing of Unit ID Sets labels using actual client program other than HTClient test program is beyond the scope of this procedure. Make sure the “Print Unit ID Set”  message being sent to the server from your client program contains the new label format file name parameter. The Unit ID Sets print label message should appear as follows:

HemaTrax Print Server versions 2.1 and 2.11 only – Print Unit ID Sets  >> printable version <<

  1. In the Server machine where HemaTrax Print Server program is currently installed, locate the HemaTrax Print Server sub-directory in the Program Files directory and double-click on it. 
  2. Figure below shows sub-folders and files associated with the HemaTrax Print Server program.

  1. Double-click on the HemaTrax Print Server folder. Figure below shows sub-folders and files associated with the HemaTrax Print Server program.
  2. Locate the Format folder and double-click on it. If no replicant Unit ID Set format has been added previously, only one format will be available as shown below.

 

  1. Now save the copy of the “FORMAT6M.FMT” into the
    C:\Program Files\HemaTrax Print Server\FORMAT folder.
  2. Start the HemaTrax Print Server service if it has been stopped.

To test print using the included HemaTrax HTClient test program installed in the same Program Files directory as the HemaTrax Print Server, run this program by double-clicking its program icon. From the currently displayed HTClient test program window, click on the “TCP/IP Host Connection” tab to display its page. Establish the client-to-server connection with the HemaTrax Print Server program by specifying the proper server machine’s IP address and listening port number inside the “Server Settings” panel and click on the “CONNECT” located next to the right of the “Listening Port:” entry edit  box and make sure this button is now labeled “DISCONNECT”.

  1. Click on the u button until the “Unit ID/Collection + Processing Labels Info.”  tab is displayed then click on it. With the “Unit ID/Collection + Processing Labels Info.”  page now displayed, change the current content of  “Unit Set Format File” entry edit box to FORMAT6M or enter this text if the “Unit Set Format File” entry edit box is currently empty.
  2. Supply all additional ISBT-128 Unit ID Sets label information in the “Facility Code”, “Collections Year”, “Sequence Unit ID Number”, “Flag Digits” entry edit boxes respectively if none has already been supplied yet.
  3. Verify label print port settings from the “Printer Port Definitions” page and make sure a label print port has already been assigned to printing Unit ID Sets labels. If no Unit ID Sets label print port is assigned then select an available port number from the “Printer Port Selection” combo box drop-down selections and set the correct “Printer Address”, “Printer Model”, “Baud Rate and CRC” – serial connection only, and “Label Form Loaded” respectively. Also make sure the current entered value in the “Horizontal Offset in mm” entry edit box is 3 if using the Sato CL-412 series printer. If, however, the target printer is the Zebra Z4M series printer then adjust the horizontal and vertical positions by changing the contents of the “Horizontal Offset in mm” and “Vertical Offset in mm” entry edit boxes to 1.5 and –1 respectively. Click on the “Set” button to save or accept any change in the settings.
  4. Click on the u button until the “Print Labels” tab is displayed then click on it. With the “Print Label” page now displayed, select the printer port number from the “Printer Port Selection” combo box selections defined previously on step 9. Now click on the “Unit ID Set ISBT” button to begin printing Unit ID Sets label.
  5. Verify barcode and text positions in the labels -- adjust X-Offset or Y-Offset value if necessary from the “Printer Port Definitions” page.
  6. Test printing of Unit ID Sets labels using actual client program other than HTClient test program is beyond the scope of this procedure. Make sure the “Print Unit ID Set”  message being sent to the server from your client program contains the new label format file name parameter. The Unit ID Sets print label message should appear as follows:
