Digi Trax Services provides time and materials repairs for Cognitive, SATO America and Zebra Technologies printers.
Returning Printers

Each printer returned must be shipped in a separate carton. The outside of each carton must be clearly marked or labeled "RETURNED FOR REPAIRS". A sheet of paper should be included in the carton with each printer with the following information:

1) Contact name and telephone number for services estimates
2)
Return shipping address and the billing address
3)
A valid company purchase order number for billing purposes
4)
A reasonably detailed description of the printer failure
5) Any special instructions (including repair charge limitations, authorizations)

Service Estimate

Within five working days of receipt, we will evaluate the repairs needed to bring the printer back into service and call the customer with an estimate. We charge a minimum evaluation and estimate fee of $125 for each Cognitive Solutions  or Zebra Desktop printer returned and $200 for each SATO America or Zebra Technologies Tabletop printer returned to cover the evaluation and estimate of repairs.

If during repair we discover additional work that needs to be done in order to bring the printer back into service and if those repairs represent an additional charge of more than ten percent (10%) beyond the original estimate, we will call the customer to obtain authorization for the additional service (unless previously authorized by the customer).

Repair Time Charges

Time is billed as follows: The first hour charge is included in the evaluation and estimate fee. Each additional hour is billed at $65.


Turnaround Time

If we have parts on-hand to effect repairs, then we are able to typically turn around a printer in five working days. If parts must be ordered, we cannot guarantee turn around time. If we have parts on-hand and the customer requests EXPRESS turn around in 24 hours, we charge an additional $100.

Return Shipping

We bill for return shipping charges. If we must provide a return shipping container to return the printer, we will charge for a carton. The typical price for a new carton and foam liners is $125. We urge all of our customers to keep their original shipping cartons and liners for future shipments. If you want your return shipment insured, please specify the amount to insure for on the sheet included with the printer in the carton.
