Facility & Product Label
This is the label is used for imaging the lower two thirds of the upper left ISBT 128 base label minus the DIN. The label peels from a release liner which is perforated between labels. These labels are supplied in kits with the appropriate number of ribbons for your printer (enough to image all the labels supplied). This synthetic label does not absorb water and will not be affected by a water bath, bleach disinfecting, alcohol and abrasion. The ribbon is matched to the material for optimum performance. The image is stable and will withstand bleach disinfecting without any appreciable degradation.

Testing each individual application is recommended.
Minimum application temp:
-20°F (-29°C)
hand application required
Service temp range:
-65°F to +200°F (-54°C to +93°C)
special handling may be required for use with FFP
Shelf life:
Digi-Trax label material has a standard shelf life of one year from date of shipment from Digi-Trax® when stored at 72°F (22°C) at 50% RH. If exposed to elevated temperatures for an extended period time (more than 30 days), the adhesive properties may be diminished.
Supplies are sold and shipped in “Cases” that have been designed for use with our certified desktop bar code label blood bank printers.
Each “Case” contains a matched quantity of labels and ribbons to eliminate waste.
The synthetic label material has been laboratory tested and matched with special resin ink ribbons to meet rigorous standards required as per the ISBT 128 compliant print specifications. It meets durable print standards set forth in the FDA Guidelines.
The adhesive coating meets FDA; CFR21, Sec. 175.105 requirements for direct and indirect bag applications.
The label and ribbon combination is designed to withstand freezing, water bath, bleach disinfecting and repeated abrasion and will not wrinkle, shred, or smudge. The durable thermal transfer ink image printing will remain legible under these harsh conditions.
All Digi-Trax® thermal transfer blood bank labels feature high initial tack and ultimate adhesion. In addition, our adhesives offer good resistance to U.V., plasticizers and water.
